Chronicle of Higher Education, 10/20/10

An interesting opinion piece arguing against the popular notion that the economy needs more college graduates with statistics indicating that 17 million Americans "with college degrees are doing jobs that the BLS says require less than the skill levels associated with a bachelor’s degree." He cites a report from the National Bureau of Economic Research estimating the marginal returns of investment in education. The report is from 2007 and focues on the United Kingdom, but may contain some interesting data.
