National Association for College Admission Counseling, October 2010

This annual report covering the Fall 2009 admission cycle and based on a survey of NACAC members argues that the recession did influence the way students and families approached the admission decision. It also revealed that the number of high school graduates reached a peak in 2008-2009, the number of applications received continued to grow, and yeild rates continued to decline.
