Our retreats are safe and comfortable places to push the envelope of innovation. They provide the intellectual space and guidance necessary to create the kind of 12-18 month strategy that will earn you acclaim not only for your results but for the smooth running system you create.
These one-of-a-kind events began in 2003 as a one-time response to a specific challenge and grew into one of our favorite services. We find the Executive Retreats to be an engaging and fun way to deliver lasting value and build lasting friendships.
Experience
Executive Retreats are executive experiences in every sense of the word:
- They are designed and conducted by InterEd's senior executives, individuals who have designed, built, and managed the largest and most successful adult-centered programs in the nation
- They convey senior knowledge simply not available elsewhere
- They are limited to eight participants like yourself

You will relax at our private upscale mountain lodge in the mountains just west of the Frank Church National Wilderness area.

These retreats focus on tactical and practical steps to making your vision a reality and tailored to the circumstances faced by your institution.
InterEd's single-minded focus on helping you formulate a specific change agenda separates Executive Retreats from other conferences or workshops. You learn first-hand from people who have implemented these systems in higher education.
Leadership
Unless otherwise noted, your retreat will be led by Robert W. Tucker, Ph.D., founder and president of InterEd, founder and president of the Phoenix Institute, founder and Executive Editor of Assessment and Accountability Forum, former Executive Vice President of UNext (Cardean Graduate School & Ellis College), and former senior Vice President Apollo Group. Co-facilitators are senior colleagues of Dr. Tucker’s representing high achieving institutions and other leaders in higher education.
Limited
We conduct only a few retreats each year and membership is managed to ensure a comfortable group of no more than 10 leaders who have shared goals in compatible types of institutions that are not in competition with each other. Participation is generally limited to presidents, vice presidents, deans, and similarly titled leaders.
Cost
The fee for the typical two and one-half day executive experience is surprisingly low, especially in view of the fact that there are no necessary out of pocket expenses. The fee includes first class lodging, in-state air and ground transportation, local transportation, meals, catered dinners, digital materials, amenities, hosted social events, entertainment, and pretty much anything else you might want.
